Educational Institutions should take initiative in implementing Government Schemes said Sri Nalin Kumar Kateel

The youth should enhance softskills, life skills and employability skills for which the eudcation insitutions should shoulder their responsibilities in implementing Make in India Scheme effectively said Sri Nalin Kumar Kateel, M.P., D.K. After inaugurating a three-day Awareness/Training Programme on “Digital Empowerment for Sustainable Development” for Scheduled Caste Youth, sponsored by Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Sriperambudur on 11-13 February 2016 at St. Agnes College.

He appreciated the effert of the College in implementing this programme for the first time in Mangalore. The Chief Guest, Sri.M.N.Natraj, Dist.Youth Co-ordinator, Nahru Yuva Kendra, D.K. highlighted on National Youth Policy (NYP) 2014 and various government schemes offered especially to SC/ST youth and requested the youth to utilise this effeictively.

Sr. M. Carmel Rita A.C., Provincial Superior of Apostolic Carmel, Karnataka Province spoke on the positive and negative aspects of Internet. Prof. Sr. M. Supriya A.C. presided the function and Dr. Vishala B.K., Programme Co-ordinator gave the bird’s eye view of the programme. Dr. Sr. Jeswina A.C. Vice-principal, welcomed the gathering and Sri Chandramohana Marathe proposed vote of thanks. Dr. Sr. Venissa A.C. compered the programme.
